She will assume the position on July 1.

The Historic Costume and Textile Collection is home to over 5000 objects and used as a vital educational resource for students in the Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design department. Unfortunately, is on the chopping block due to budget cuts.

Black photographer Charles "Teenie" Harris was a preeminent photographer in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania whose work spans the years 1935-1975. Tens of thousands of his images of Black American life are archived at the Carnegie Museum of Art and viewable online.

We had some requests for an inside view of the satin bodice. Here you can see the back side of the satin and the cotton bodice attached at the neck and french side-back seams. The majority of the garment is machine stitched, with handworked buttonholes. @ East Campus- University of Nebraska

The lower back of the jacket is finished with a metal hook and small pleat, presumably for distributing and supporting the weight of the skirt.
