4H & FFA Royalty Applications are now live! See the link below!

Royalty Applications are due by the end of the day on June 11th.

Interviews will be held on June 13th at 6:30pm located the 4H & FFA Building in Lincoln.

All King & Queen candidates must be at least 14 years of age, but not more than 21 years of age as of 01/01/27.

All King & Queen candidates can only serve one term.

All Prince & Princess candidates must be at least 8 years of age, but not more than 13 years of age as of 01/01/27.

All Prince & Princess candidates may serve more than one term.

Royalty candidates will be selected using the following point system:
35% - Chart of Participation
35% - Resume
30% - Interview

Appropriate attire of “Sunday Best” must be worn for interview, coronation, and royalty duties.

If Queen meets the requirements for the Missouri State Fair Queen Contest, the Benton County 4-H & FFA Youth Fair Board will pay her entry fees for the Missouri State Fair Queen Contest up to $50.00.

The Queen and King winners will receive a $200 scholarship each. When the fair board receives proof of college enrollment, the money will be sent to the college.
Must enroll by fall semester following graduation. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.

REMINDER-----Horse Forms are due at the Benton County Extension Office by May 1, 2026

These forms will be required for members to exhibit their horses at county and state fair this summer.

REMINDER:

SMQA Training is happening at the Ag Expo this Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Matthewson Center on the Fairgrounds.

If you are new to 4-H and are planning to show livestock this year, than you must be "Qualified to show" by taking this class.

"SMQA Conditional Certified" If you joined 4-H and took the class
last year and are under the age of 13. Then you must take this class again if you wish to show livestock. You must take the class 2 times consecutively.

"SMQA Certified". 4-Hers must attend one training after their 14th birthday.

FFA youth - please check with your Advisor. But it does not hurt to have this valuable knowledge.
