From research to regional exploration, the Great Plains Regional Honors Council conference delivered an inspiring two days of innovation, connection, and discovery.
There was a multitude of innovative research on display at the conference. Beyond presentations, attendees immersed themselves in Kansas City, exploring neighborhoods like Strawberry Hill, experiencing its rich jazz culture, and visiting sites such as the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the National WWI Museum and Memorial. Along the way, they built new friendships, engaged in a little friendly Mario Kart competition, and embraced the spirit of place.
In just two days, students left with more than memories, they returned to their campuses energized, confident in their ability to tackle complex challenges, and inspired with new ideas to strengthen their honors programs, support sustainability, and build stronger communities.
