High school graduation is a huge milestone, but it’s not the end of the journey.

Through our Post-Secondary Program, mentors continue supporting students as they navigate college, trade school, careers, and life after high school. That continued encouragement and connection can make all the difference during a season filled with change and new challenges.

We’re currently looking for post-secondary mentors willing to walk alongside students in this next chapter.

🎓 Hats off to our grads!

Across the communities we serve, students are celebrating an incredible achievement—graduation! We are so proud of the perseverance, growth, and determination these students have shown throughout their journey.

Graduation is more than a ceremony; it’s a reminder of what’s possible when students are encouraged, supported, and reminded that they matter. ❤️

Congratulations to every graduate on this milestone. We’re cheering you on every step of the way.

👇 LOCAL CHAPTERS: Show off your grads! Drop your graduation photos in the comments so we can celebrate students across the TeamMates community together. 📸 🎉

One of the biggest challenges in mentoring today is recruiting male mentors, and one of the biggest reasons people hesitate is because they believe they don’t have enough time or enough to offer.

But mentorship doesn’t require perfection. It simply requires presence.

Our mentors spend just 30–60 minutes each week with a student at their school during the school day. That means no evenings lost, no weekends taken away from family, and no pressure to have all the answers.

What students need most is someone who will show up, listen, encourage, and care.

And when men mentor, other men are inspired to step forward too.

If you’ve ever thought about mentoring, this is your reminder: you already have what it takes! ❤️

For this student, TeamMates Mentoring is a place where she feels encouraged to try new things, grow into a better person, and build meaningful memories along the way.

Mentoring creates connection, confidence, and encouragement that students carry with them far beyond the classroom.

A Nebraska City TeamMates match, Adam and “Bob,” recently shared their final weekly visit after being matched for a decade.

“It has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life watching him grow into a confident, intelligent young man, with a bright future ahead of him,” shares Adam.

What began as a simple commitment to show up each week grew into something far more meaningful, built on consistency, trust, and connection that helped shape confidence and growth over the years.

Adam also shared, “From playing card games to playing catch to having conversations about his college plans, our weekly meetings have been some of the most meaningful moments of the last ten years for me.”

Help a student reach their full potential by heading to TeamMates.org and becoming a mentor.
