Our amazing school that serves learners in grades 4-8 is found in the heart of Lincoln, Maine located on the shores of beautiful Mattanawcook Lake. Consistent with the mission and vision of RSU No. 67, our staff is committed to continuous improvement for the benefit of our learners and will work together to ensure that all students are challenged so they are provided the opportunity to reach their full potential. While at MJHS, students will have access to core academic subjects as well as Music, Band, Chorus, Foreign Language, Art, Health and Physical Education. In addition to our outstanding core curriculum, we take great pride in our extensive extracurricular and co-curricular programs. Students may select from over 20 different clubs and after school activities. Athletically, we offer 18 different team sports. Friendly Reminders:
-The 2026-27 school calendar is posted and available on our website.
-Breakfast and lunch menus are posted and available on our website.
-The new "bell to bell" cell phone policy is posted and available on our website.
-RSU 67 bus routes for 2026-27 will be posted on the MJHS website.
-The RSU 67 app is not properly updating information, so the information there is for last school year. We apologize for any confusion this has caused, and IT is working to resolve this. Please go directly to https://www.rsu67.org/o/mattanawcook to access

Thursday, August 27th:
-Mattanawcook Junior High School will be hosting an open house from 3:00pm- 5:00pm. Students and families are strongly encouraged to attend so they have the opportunity to meet with their teachers, pick up their class schedules, receive their back to school packets, and ask any questions. Mrs. Hainer and Ms. Hamilton will be available in the library at 3:30 and 4:30 to answer any questions about the new cell phone policy. If you have any questions or concerns about open house, please contact us at 207-794-8935. If you are unable to stop by our open house, schedules and school packets can be picked up on Friday, August 27th between 10:00am and 2:30pm or will be given to the student on the first day.

Monday, August 31st:
The 2026-27 school year begins. All MJHS students (grades 4-8) will be in attendance.

2026-2027 Sports Registrations on Family ID are open. Please register your student for all sports they might play in the 2026-2027 school year. This will allow us to be prepared number wise for tryouts, as well as requesting any needed physicals. If you have a question, please call MJHS @ 794-8935. Office hours are limited during the summer, but please leave a message and a return will be made as soon as I'm back in the office.

8th Grade Last Assembly extra tickets have all gone home. If you have not asked your student , yet , for the extra tickets you requested, please do so. We were able to fulfill all of the requests for extra tickets. However, if you should find that you do not need all the tickets provided to you, would you please let the office know as soon as possible. This will allow us to give them out to last minute requests. We can be reached at 794-8935.
