Faculty from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Civil and Environmental Engineering department will guide students through three hands on lab activities that introduce real world engineering concepts and problem solving.

2026 Academy | Mid-America Transportation Center | Nebraska 03/11/2026

Applications are now open for the STEM Academy! The academy will take place June 7-11, 2026 on the UNL campus.

This week long summer academy is designed for students in grades 9 through 12 and includes hands on STEM activities. Students will participate in engineering labs and activities, activities at Nebraska Innovation Campus's Innovation Studio, and more. Off campus visits include the Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center , Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, and Pacific Engineering Inc!
