High-quality early child care and education is crucial to a child’s future success, with 90% of brain development occurring before age 5. Early learning builds the foundation for skills needed in school, work and life.
Children who receive quality early child care and education are more likely to show improved reading and math skills, graduate high school, attend college, have a job and earn higher wages.
Thank you Early Chidlhood providers for all that you do for our littles.

Something to check out….
There's momentum behind the bipartisan Supporting Early-Childhood Educators’ Deductions (SEED) Act, which the U.S. House of Representatives passed on April 27. It would extend the federal Educator Expense Deduction to include early educators, allowing them to deduct up to $350 in qualifying expenses.
Buffett Institute research shows that early educators, like many teachers, resort to using their own money to buy books, snacks, and other classroom supplies. But unlike their K-12 counterparts, they can't currently deduct those out-of-pocket expenses on their federal taxes.
Explore our resources on early educator out-of-pocket spending and the federal educator expense deduction, including a policy brief, position statement, op-ed by Buffett Institute Executive Director Walter Gilliam, and more: https://buffettinstitute.nebraska.edu/policy-research/federal-seed-act
