Our first two weeks of summer have brought tons of smiles! We have taken the classroom outdoors with all sorts of fun, messy, and exploratory activities!

Welcome to the GSA family, Tom Smolland (in honor of the best actor to play Spider-Man)! He is a regal jumping spider about the size of a fingernail. They are very curious and social spiders with incredible eyesight. They often do not retreat unless they feel they’re in danger, because they enjoy watching people. They will even recognize faces they see often and will gain trust with those who are kind to it. Having Tom Smolland at the school can help teach our students the benefits of creatures we may find scary, and to understand the importance of all beings on earth 🧡

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and had a picnic outside for lunch! 🥪 💙🤍

This month’s learning theme is: April showers bring us flowers!!! Last week our pre-k students artfully created little houses, then planted grass seeds in the front yard. Today, the grass was so tall they had to, “mow,” their lawn while practicing fine motor skills with scissors. This is fun, yet practical learning for all 🥰

Springtime fun! From bubble dance parties, to harvesting the garden and collecting eggs, and creative play, artwork and increasing knowledge! We’ve had a fun last couple of weeks! Don’t forget, we are now selling our eggs that we get from our GSA chickens and ducks. All profits will go towards updated toys, learning materials, and fun events for our kiddos! The eggs are WAY better than store bought, PLUS you are getting eggs that your child directly helped produce by helping to feed and water the the hens, and give them lots of love and attention 🥰

It has been a LONG time since we have posted, so welcome to our biggest photo dump to start off the year! January was all about “different worlds,” with dinosaurs and space, February brought us a love for reading with our annual book fair, and we have been “Marching with animals,” all of March! We also started our gardens and we are 7 days away from baby chicks hatching in our incubator 🐣 🧡 🪴
