With summer just around the corner, it’s time to figure out what to do with all that time! Consider taking Levels at UNL to fill some of your time. From July 13-24th, clinicians will be leading participants in singing, moving, improvising, playing, and creating as you work to better yourself as a colleague and teacher. We have three $100 scholarships available for current GPOC members to assist you financially with Levels. We’d love to see so many of you at Westbrook this year—let us know if you have any questions! We are here to help!! https://arts.unl.edu/music/2026orff/

This workshop was a bright spot on this rainy day! We got to meet up with all our favorites in Kearney and made lots of new friends! We moved and played and created, and had the best time doing it. Crazy that we all are taking piano lessons and are so advanced!!!! Thank you to our awesome presenters who shared their wonderful ideas and activities, and thank you to PSKOR for co-hosting with us! Interested in more GPOC/Orff fun? Join us for Levels I, II, AND III at UNL from July 13-24th. Feel free to reach out to us here or email us at [email protected]

Another workshop opportunity and a super cool one at that! On Saturday, April 11th, Sowah Mensah will be at Bryan Elementary in Omaha for a drumming workshop. A quick 9 AM - 12 PM workshop to learn from an incredibly talented musician and human. The workshop fee is $50 and the student fee is only $30–score! We still need a few more people to sign up to make sure we can get Sowah here. Message us here to confirm your spot or email [email protected]. See you in just a week or so!

You’re right Laura, we ARE better together! We had such a fun, restorative, artistic, and collaborative morning. We explored so many mediums, found our creative selves, and enjoyed our time with one another. So many shapes, colors, exploring, music making, and community! Thank you to all of our attendants, we loved getting to spend the morning with you. And thank you Laura for such a wonderful workshop! We will see you soon!
