We are so excited and ready for our first ever book club book with our Great Plains chapter! We will be reading “Darkology: Blackface and the American Way of Entertainment” by Rhae Lynn Barnes. This will be a (school) year-long study and will commence in June. All of the meetings will be held on Zoom to help accommodate as many folks as possible. To sign up, follow the link here! We are so proud of all our participants and all their growth and accomplishments these past two weeks! We are especially proud of our 15 (!!!) Level III graduates who are officially Orff certified. The creativity, joy, and enthusiasm these folks shared with us yesterday was evident in all the ways they sang, improvised, moved, and played. Thank you to our incredible clinicians for their investment into each educator here. We can’t wait to see so many of you all at our workshops throughout the year! Viva la musica!

And just like that—Day One of all THREE Levels at UNL is done! We loved getting to see familiar faces, meet new ones, and getting to share our love for music with the participants. On June 21st, the UNL Levels will be having a Visitors’ Day! Check out for any updates and for more information regarding next Tuesday.
