❤️: CLEAR is a team of counseling psychology researchers of color with varied sexual and gender identities, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who are interested in advancing work that promotes more compassionate and equitable systems in mental healthcare and education. We would be happy to share a summary of our findings from this project with your organization as a small way of offering outcomes from our work to our community partners
✨: We hope this project can advance health practitioners’ understanding of how economic marginalization and heterosexism affect individuals who are sexual minorities, and build more affirming clinical practices for our community.

The Class, Equity, and Advocacy Research (CLEAR) team conducts research promoting more equitable mental healthcare and education systems. We center our work on the experiences of individuals and communities that have been historically minoritized and oppressed and examine the ways systems inhibit and/or facilitate their well-being. We are a group of counseling psychology faculty and students who are invested in the healing of our communities.
