Today your Millard South debate team attended a field trip to the state capitol building in Lincoln, watching in on a legislative session to get a look behind the government policy debate and process. It was amazing to see a hypothetical view of what we debate over every Saturday!
While we didnt get to hear a Cap K or a structural violence framework we had so much fun. Instead we attended a tour of the building and got a indepth and comprehensive look into the details of the architecture, rooms, and government leaders.

Hi Millard South community and dearest debate fans!
This past Friday and Saturday, your Millard South debate team traveled to and from Lincoln two times to attend the state debate tournament.
Millard South Debate is so stranger to running on 100% caffeine. And despite the hotel setback we made great steps in round.
Toby Schweitzer and Kaden Curtis competed in CONGRESS. Its hard to say if Ai automobiles are safe for use right now, but its easy to say Kaden Curtis broke to SUPER congress, winning a fancy plaque.
In public forum we had Maggie and Regina end of their season with a 3-3 score, just shy from making breaks. Regina was your 9th speaker out of +40 entries.
Overall we had a great time at state debate and we will see you at CONGRESS DISTRICTS!!
Thank you to everyone who has supported our difficult journey throughout the season! We are almost done.

HELLLLOO MILLARD SOUTH DEBATE. π
It is with great honor I announce what happend at the Nebraska District Tournament this Saturday.
In public forum we had our entries Regina and Maggie face perplex judging, argue rental vans and in our sincerest sadness do we regret to inform you that they went 2-3, just barely making breaks.
Additionally Kaden Curtis and Toby Schwietzer argued civic engagement, a blessing to all that the Cap-K never got to see the light of day. But not seeing the light of a winning record, they did not make breaks. As a blessing, Toby got to attend his showchoir activity despite all challenges.
A debate tournament doesn't dictate our teams success. And we can not wait to see you in two weeks at the nebraska STATE tournament!
Thank you for tuning in :)

This weeks bipolar hot and cold whether blew the Millard South Debate team to great lengths. βοΈ
So far away that it took us to the 39th Samuelson SWEEPSTAKES all the way in Lincoln. Not to be confused with the Lincoln in Kansas.
HERES WHAT HAPPENED:
In congressional debate we had our varsity team drill their speeches in triumph
Kaden Curtis, pulling an all nighter, got SIXTH (6TH) IN SUPER CONGRESS. Super for a reason! And won a cupcake. (No glaze π€£ππ§) π₯
In Public Forum our very own Regina and Maggie defeated all odds as Finalist, runner ups, breaking the Semi's curse.
Going from a 1-2 score in prelims to winning two clutch rounds b2b. After breaks they were seeded 11th in out-rounds and went on to get 2nd place out of 19 teams. π₯π₯ Taking home FOUR bundt cakes.
They faced 2 daunting disclosure theories, and novel t-shells, even running their very first t-shell themselves.
AND FINALLY
We proudly tell you, Millard South heralded the SMALL SCHOOLS SWEEPSTAKES AWARD. It is beyond our own expectations to be representing Millard South so well. π
Thank you for your support in our journey as team. AND we will see u at DISTRICTS, wikis in hand.

HAPPY JANUARY PATRIOTS!
We started off this new topic with a bang. Once again, we always say, "quality over quantity," and we always mean it.
At the Westside Warrior Invitational, we had a single entry.
Kaden, the goat, Curtis, got 4TH PLACE in Congress.
We are thankful he chose not to graduate early. And once again, thank you for tuning in.
We will see you next week bigger and better!

Starting off in novice public forum, we had ADIBA CHOWDHURY AND SEMMA GUARINI put down 5 AMAZING rounds and destroyed one box combo at canes. They were on fire. Their first comp of the season.

NOW IN LINCOLN DOUGLAS, we had Tobias Schweitzer win 7TH SPEAKER and BROKE TO SEMIS. WOW, who knew human extinction is rly the strat.
IN CONGRESS, WE HAD MARZ GAMBLE COMPETE A LONG DAY IN HOUSE. Speaker after speaker blown away by Marz's clarity on various bills.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR SUPPORTING US THIS FAR IN THE SEASON. WE will see you at Milly West!
