Little School House Families, we can't let today go by without telling you . . . We have a super special birthday to celebrate today! It's our dear Ms Tracy B's birthday! Ms Tracy B is the world's greatest Froggie teacher. She is a walking ray of light, vivacious and effervescent. If you've ever had the pleasure of knowing Ms Tracy B, you know what it feels like to be in the presence of joy. Ms Tracy B, you are a treasure. 🚨THIS JUST IN 🚨The Little School House has won the Lincoln News Messenger Best of the Best award for Best Preschool / Daycare in 2026!

This is one of the greatest awards we can receive. Why? Because this award is based on nominations and votes from our community. It is a people's choice award and every year that our community chooses us, it is an absolute honor.

We take our position as educators of future generations very seriously. It is our passion, our joy. When we are able to serve our families so well that we are the name they think of when nominating a school for this award, that means everything to us.

For those who dont know, the Buggies are our littlest bunch! That first year is always such a treat to witness. We can't wait to watch them blossom into independent, confident kids this year! 📆 First day of school is as follows:

• Monday, Aug 24th:🐝 Bees, 🐻 Bears, and 🐒 Monkeys
• Tuesday, Aug 25th: 🐸 Froggies, 🐛 Bugs, and 🐢 Turtles,

Parents can walk their kids into class this week if they choose, just please don't park in the parking lot or along the drop off lane. Keep these areas clear for the parents who are dropping off!

PRO TIP: Keep the goodbyes short, sweet, and confident. Lingering signals nervousness to your kiddos & in our experience, we find a quick hug works best 🫶🏻.

🎒BACKPACKS: Please make sure your kiddo has a water bottle, labeled with their name, and at least one extra set of weather appropriate clothing in case they need to change for any reason.

🚙 DROP-OFF & PICK-UP: Please make sure to double check your drop off and pick up location AND times!

We are excited to offer extended care for our families this fall!

This program is designed to give children a safe, caring, and familiar place to continue learning, playing, and growing beyond the regular school day.

During extended care, children will have time for supervised play, quiet activities, social interaction, and a smooth transition at the end of their day. Our goal is to provide families with extra flexibility while ensuring children feel comfortable, supported, and engaged in a warm school environment.

Hours and Cost:

Extended care will be available Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cost is $25 day. Drop-In rate is $35 per day. Fees will be charged with your monthly tuition.

Days attended can be flexible if the number of days you attend is consistent. (For example, 2 days a week can be Monday, Wednesday one week and Tuesday, Thursday the next week.)

Extended care is available to 12 students per day. Drop-In care is based upon availability.

Extended care will not be available on Fridays.

Extended care is available to all students enrolled in the morning classes.

Extended care students will need to bring lunch. An AM and PM snack will be provided.

Extended care will begin the second week of school (Week of 8/31).

If you would like to take advantage of Extended Care, please fill out the bottom of this form, and return it to your teacher at Parent Orientation Night. If you have ANY questions about extended care, please contact Miss Misty at 916-719-7353 who is happy to discuss options and suggestions with you!
