Grizzlies Gain Robotics Knowledge With New High-Tech Tools

LPS Robotics 2 students get the opportunity to program a 6-Axis Robotic Arm highlighting how automoation is increasing in manufacturing.

Lincoln Standing Bear High School students are programming bright futures with new high-tech tools! Members of Standing Bear’s Robotics II class are among the first LPS students to use the VEX CTE 6-Axis Robotic Arm. The new equipment is teaching them how to code robots to perform precise movements and tasks that are commonplace in agricultural and manufacturing settings, two of Nebraska's biggest industries. The Grizzlies are also learning about the expanding world of robotics careers that are emerging today!

In parternership with the International Quilt Museum, Dawes Middle School students in their 8th Grade Family & Consumer Sciences class created lap quilts for the residents at the Legacy Terrace retirement community.

CONGRATS to the Business students at Lincoln High & Southeast for their performance at the NE Economics Challenge!!
Adam Smith Division: Southeast - 2nd Place
David Ricardo Divsion: Lincoln High - 1st & 3rd Place

They will now compete at the State Championships on April 10th!!

THANK YOU to Southeast Community College & UNL for hosting LPS students on a feild trip. Students were able to learn about the path to becoming a Skilled & Technical Sciences teacher. Huge thanks to all the faculty & staff for making this such a valuable day!!
