"I’m originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, but I’ve called Lincoln home for the past five years, and plan to stay in Nebraska for years to come! I’m a second-year graduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I’ve gained clinical experience across all areas of speech-language pathology. I’m currently completing two off-campus placements, working primarily with children with complex communication needs in the areas of language, articulation, AAC, and feeding. I also conduct research in the UNL Learning Lab for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, with my master’s thesis focusing on students with mosaic Down syndrome. I’m a Mid-Plains Professional Upgrade Partnership – Interdisciplinary Preparation in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Deaf Education (MPUP-SPADE) scholar, with my graduate studies focused on supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. I’m fluent in Spanish and love working with dual-language learners, and I hope to one day combine all of these interests to serve a wide range of clients! My journey in speech-language pathology started when I saw a speech-language pathologist as a child, but it wasn’t until I reconnected with the field in high school that I truly discovered my passion, and it’s been my path ever since!"
