You are not alone. It is normal to feel stressed or anxious from managing our responsibilities and what that life throws at us. We become stronger when we connect with our family, friends, and neighbors. Reminding ourselves what and who we are grateful for is a way to improve our emotional well-being and stay positive in the face of any emotions we feel.

It may not feel like it all the time, but your work as a teacher is making a difference in people's lives, including your students. Everyone has limits, so be kind to yourself – you are trying your best even when you are not feeling your best.
• Take time to be mindful, a practice that we know helps to promote calm and relaxed spaces we need to refill our cup.

An exciting development occurred on Monday when Gov. Jim Pillen announced the reversal of his previous decision and said that Nebraska will now participate in the federal Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (S-EBT) program, which provides food access assistance for qualifying families of school-aged children during summer months. https://www.cfra.org/news-release/center-pleased-learn-nebraska-will-provide-summer-ebt-children?emci=e9e110e7-dfcc-ee11-85f9-002248223794&emdi=8318874b-f7cc-ee11-85f9-002248223794&ceid=5794705
This is excellent news for families with children who receive free or reduced lunches during the school year. The state’s participation ensures children’s access to food does not end when school is out, putting them in a better position to learn and grow.
