🌹 A Living Rosary at St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School 🌹

October is the Month of the Holy Rosary, a beautiful time in the Catholic Church to honor Our Blessed Mother and grow closer to Jesus through prayer.

Our students at St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School participated in a Living Rosary, coming together in faith to represent the beads of the Rosary and pray as one school community. Each student became a living reminder of the power of prayer and the beauty of meditating on the life of Christ through Mary’s loving intercession.

Through holy traditions like these, we strive to form not only young minds, but faithful hearts rooted in Catholic tradition, devotion, and love for Our Lord.

At St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School, soccer is a joyful opportunity for students to grow in body, mind, and spirit. Through training and competition, they develop discipline, perseverance, teamwork, humility, and gratitude for the bodies God has given them.

On the field, students learn to practice charity, encourage their teammates, honor their opponents, and respond to both victory and challenge with grace. With every practice and game, they grow in faith, friendship, and the virtues that help them become generous disciples of Christ.

⚽ More Than a Game: Building Virtue on and off the Field! ⚽

At St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School, here soccer is about so much more than scoring goals! It’s an opportunity for our students to grow in discipline, perseverance, teamwork, gratitude, humility, and sportsmanship, virtues that shape both character and faith.

Physical fitness is an important part of a well-rounded classical education, developing not only strong bodies but also the self-discipline, focus, and resilience needed to pursue truth, goodness, and excellence. Through school athletics, our students learn to encourage one another, work toward a common goal, celebrate victories with humility, and face challenges with grace.

And when we play together as a Catholic community, we strengthen the bonds that make our school family special. We learn to support one another, serve others, and put our gifts to work for the good of the whole team.

We play for more than the win, we play to grow in virtue, build friendships, strengthen our bodies, and glorify God in all that we do! 🙏⚽

🐻 Our upper elementary students have officially finished reading Paddington! 📚

Throughout this literature study, students immersed themselves in Paddington’s adventures, bringing the story to life by creating their own Paddington characters and engaging their imaginations along the way.

In the spirit of classical education, students are learning not only to enjoy great stories but also to think critically, make connections, and appreciate how stories can be told in different ways. To wrap up the unit, they watched the Paddington movie and compared the film with the book, noticing similarities, differences, and the unique ways each medium brings a story to life.

While our students are sad to end their Paddington adventure they are excited for what their next literature study has in store! 🐻🧡

🐝 What’s all the buzz about? 🐝

Our lower elementary became busy bees during a hands-on pollination activity! Students used fuzzy pipe-cleaner bees to demonstrate how bees visit apple blossoms and carry tiny grains of pollen on their fuzzy bodies from one blossom to another.

As our little “bees” buzzed from blossom to blossom, students saw how pollination helps apple trees produce the apples we enjoy!

What a fun way to marvel at the intricate way God designed His creation to work together. 🌸 🐝 🍎

🙏✝️ A HISTORIC DAY FOR OUR CATHOLIC COMMUNITY! ✝️🙏

Today, we rejoice in the beatification of Blessed Fulton J. Sheen!

Archbishop Sheen was a gifted teacher, preacher, author, and evangelist who devoted his life to leading souls to Jesus Christ. His life reminds us of the beautiful mission of Catholic education: to form young minds in truth, hearts in virtue, and souls in the love of God.

As a classical Catholic school, we are especially grateful for his example of pursuing truth with clarity, wisdom, courage, and faith. May his witness inspire our students to seek what is true, love what is good, and recognize the beauty of what is worthy.

Today, we give thanks for this joyful moment in the life of the Church and pray that the example of Blessed Fulton J. Sheen will continue to inspire our Saints in the Making.

📢 A Friendly Reminder: The Feast of the Guardian Angels Car Show is CANCELED

Just a reminder to our wonderful community that this year’s Feast of the Guardian Angels Car Show has been canceled.

While we’ll miss gathering with everyone this year, we are grateful for all of the families, volunteers, vendors, and supporters who have helped make this event so special over the years. ❤️

We look forward to seeing everyone next year for another wonderful celebration!

Salt and Light Day!

While our Middle Schoolers were off at camp, our elementary students had camp brought to them!

Our elementary students had a wonderful day of adventure, creativity, teamwork, and faith during our camp-themed day!

🌿 Nature Hunt: Students explored our school grounds searching for interesting treasures from God’s creation. Afterward, they gathered in small groups for a nature “show and tell.” Before long, those nature finds became the building materials for some very creative little camps!

⛺ “What Would the Saints Do?”: Our students were given camp “emergency” situations “Uh oh, your canoe tipped over!” or other unexpected challenges and worked together to find a solution. But there was a twist! Each group was assigned a saint and had to consider what they knew about that saint and the virtues he or she practiced. Students had to think: How would our saint respond? What virtue could help us solve this problem? It was a fun way to connect everyday challenges with the example of the saints.

🎨 Camp Keepsake: To remember our day, each class created adorable popsicle-stick picture frames shaped like little tents. 🏕️

It was a day filled with exploration, imagination, cooperation, and opportunities to see how the virtues of the saints can guide us in all kinds of situations. Through each activity, our students were encouraged to discover the Truth, Beauty, and Goodness found in God’s creation, in one another, and in the example of the saints.

At St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School, we are guided by Truth, Beauty, and Goodness and called by our Lord to be the Salt and Light of the world. What a wonderful way to spend a day living out our mission! 🏕️🌿✨
