We are all very proud of this Railsplitter! Good Luck Vicente! Railsplitter Nation, please wish our fellow Alum well at Nationals!

Vicente Navarro is heading back to Council Bluffs for the NJCAA Wrestling Championships.

In two seasons, Vicente competed in 84 matches. He did not sit the bench. He stepped directly into the starting lineup and embraced the grind from day one.

Vicente leveraged a Pell Grant and Athletic Aid to earn his Associate’s Degree at Henry Ford College.

Read that again.

He is walking away with an Associate’s degree — free of student debt — because he made a smart, disciplined decision.

While others chased the four-year route and struggled for mat time, Vicente chose opportunity. He chose development. He chose to compete.

Now he returns to the national stage, experienced, battle-tested, and prepared.

Proud of the path he chose.

Congratulations to our Downriver League Placers for Wrestling! Diego Buendia (w.c. 150) League Champion, Jacob Spratt (w.c. 157) 3rd place, Sa’Darion Holloway (w.c. 165) League Champion! A year ago, the Lincoln Park Railsplitters made it all the way to the regional final before falling to Detroit Martin Luther King. Now, this year’s squad returns a little bit different looking, but still chasing that same goal of that elusive state championship.
