Today was day 2 of using Brutus Bucks in the classroom. The Ms. Williams and Mrs. Heffner Bucks were introduced today. Students decided to earn these by their attendance, behavior, academics, etc. and even suggested having fines for certain students. To see the exchange and life cycle of the dollar, students are writing their names on the back of each dollar. After it is used or exchanged, the name is crossed off and put back into circulation. Ask your child about the system and Economics!

Our students showed their Spartan Pride today as they asked great questions on our trip to Ohio State Lima today!

It's never too early to start thinking about college. Ohio State Lima invited second graders from Liberty Arts magnet school to come take a tour and get an early glimpse of college life.

Today was an exceptionally fun day at Liberty. As soon as we got back to school after hearing the Lima Youth Orchestra we had lunch with many special guests. Thanks to everyone who made the day special for our students!

Wednesday is the Grand Day for our school book fair. Over a dozen guests will be joining our class for lunch then walk down to the book fair. Liberty and our librarian, Mrs. Reed, are excited to see all of the "grands" at school. :)

Thursday was a fabulous day at school! We had a Read-a-Thon fully equiped with snacks for sale, middle school and community reading buddies, and a crazy librarian read aloud. The third grade even egged our room to tell us how "eggsellent" third grade is.
