My husband and two children have dyslexia. We struggled for years to find help for our son, whose dyslexia is more severe than our daughter’s, but unfortunately the public and private schools and local tutoring centers could not help. Some of them made us feel as though we had made-up the word dyslexia! I researched everything I could to find a way to help my family. First, I learned about the Ort

on-Gillingham Method, a systematic teaching approach proven to help dyslexia. Then I learned about Susan Barton, a world renowned dyslexia expert, and I decided to attend her talks and seminars. I am very fortunate to have been personally trained and credentialed by Susan Barton as a Dyslexia Consultant providing screening and tutoring to individuals with dyslexia (a SLD) as well as others, who want to read, write, and spell better. I have been trained in the Barton Reading and Spelling System which is one of 7 programs worldwide that is capable of instructing educational personnel to provide the Orton-Gillingham Method to students of all ages. Of all the Orton-Gillingham based programs, the Barton System is the most intense one-on-one tutoring program and although designed to help dyslexics, can be used to help any student improve their reading, writing, and spelling no matter what age. I immediately started tutoring my husband and children, and after seeing the success and confidence it brought them, I decided to help others too. What started as a venture to become a better parent has grown into a satisfying and rewarding career. It is my passion to help individuals and families navigate through the world of dyslexia and bring them out of frustration and into understanding. There is no cure for dyslexia because there is no disease. That’s why it is my goal is to help people triumph with their dyslexia!

Did you know, Tom Holland (aka Spider-Man) is dyslexic!
Tom also plays Telemachus in Odyssey Movie and has spoken extensively about his dyslexia and the many challenges it brings when learning lines or reading cue cards.
