Lima Christian School At Lima Christian School (LCS), every hour serves one purpose: making disciples of Jesus Christ. It also conducts creative writing and reading sessions.

As Livingston County's only PreK-12 Christian school, LCS proudly serves families throughout Lima, NY and school districts. Founded in 1974, Lima Christian School, also known as LCS, is a ministry of Crossroads Church. The school offers various educational programs for students in kindergarten through grade 12. It emphasizes the spiritual, emotional, social and physical development of students. Li

ma Christian School provides sessions in Bible study, computer applications, English, math, music and physical education. The school additionally offers psychology, science and social studies classes. The school offers special education services for students with developmental disabilities. It has been a summer full of non-stop celebrations for Mrs. Vogt and her family. They celebrated three birthdays and a milestone 20th wedding anniversary!

To celebrate, the family jetted off on an amazing trip to Costa Rica. They spent their days going on beautiful walks through the rainforest and taking a catamaran ride on the Pacific Ocean. They also spotted incredible wildlife every single day, including flying fish, sea turtles, and dolphins.

The new school year begins in just under three weeks, so we are kicking off the countdown with a look at what has been happening around the school this summer. Classrooms are coming together, a few updates are underway, and the new sensory room is nearly ready for its first students. And it was a joy to see so many familiar faces back on campus a few weeks ago for Summer's Best Two Weeks at Church.

Over the next three weeks, watch for posts highlighting what your favorite LCS teachers have been up to this summer.

Bravo to our LCS Saints student athletes! Lima Christian School has again been named a School of Distinction by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). Every single varsity team at LCS achieved NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Team recognition during their sports seasons. That means our student athletes on every roster showed up in the classroom just as much as they showed up in practice and competition. Well done!

We 💙 Mrs. Garlock! Beyond teaching art to our middle and high school students last year, Mrs. Michelle Garlock returned as a visiting illustrator to give students a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of "Adirondack Spring" by Brian J. Heinz.

Students discovered what it takes to bring a book to life: from finding an agent and collaborating with an author to storyboarding each panel and creating the finished artwork. They even had the opportunity to view her original paintings from the book!

Thank you, Mrs. Garlock, for sharing your creativity, expertise, and passion for art with our students. We are grateful for the ways you inspire the next generation of artists!

To God be the glory! Every teacher who served, family who enrolled, and dollar given was a provision from His hand.

They did it! The LCS Class of 2026 has graduated. Last Saturday, Lima Christian School held its 43rd Commencement, sending these outstanding young men and women out into the world.
