We can’t wait to welcome our newest Buckeyes to the Ohio State Lima family at the Dean’s Convocation. This mandatory event is where your college adventure officially begins, and we are so excited to see all the incredible things you’ll accomplish throughout your time here.

Excitement is in the air at Ohio State Lima!

As we get ready to welcome students back to campus for autumn semester in less than a week, our Buckeyes are already hard at work preparing for an incredible academic year.

Our social work students have been on campus for program orientations, preparing for field placements and building skills through trainings like Youth Mental Health First Aid and GRIN. They are ready to make a meaningful impact in our community. Meanwhile, a new group have been training to become Certified Peer Educators to support student well-being, equipping themselves to guide, encourage, and uplift their fellow Buckeyes every step of the way.

The Ohio Natural Resources Conservation Service’s State Technical Committee stopped by to learn more about the sustainable ag initiatives being implemented at Ohio State Lima’s Regenerative Farm, including controlled drainage, water management and irrigation. In between extremely rainy days, the group was able to take an informative, if soggy, walking tour of the tools being showcased on campus.

Ready to take your next big step at Ohio State Lima? The Dean’s Convocation is your official kickoff to college life! Join us on Monday, August 24 at 11 a.m. on The Quad to kick off the year, mingle with faculty, and bond with future classmates over free lunch, games, and prizes.
