Tonight our students represented Star Academy and we have 2 projects that will represent Star at the regional finals.

We are all super proud of our amazing students and teachers🌟

Thank you Ms. Carter for organizing another great career fair for Star Academy students…. The wealth of knowledge and information that our students were provided today will hopefully help them to make decisions to help them plan for their futures with a little more knowledge ✨✨✨✨💙💙💙💙💙💙✨✨✨✨

Thank you to our very own Coach Chubbs for showing our students that people can have multiple sources of income and also pursue careers in different areas… Your food truck was definitely a hit today with the staff and students. We appreciate you donating your talents and the delicious food to share with us today💪🏾

November is

North Carolina has the second highest population of Native Americans east of the Mississippi river. There are over 9 indigenous tribes in North Carolina: Coharie, Cherokee, Haliwa-Saponi, Lumbee, Meherrin, Occaneechi Band of Saponi, Sappony, Waccamaw, and Siouan.

Special thanks to Harnett County Commissioner Mark Johnson and Christy Moore of the Dunn Area History Museum for honoring us with the a cultural presentation on Native American heritage at STAR Academy.

Star Academy Students and Staff are thankful for all the great experiences that we are fortunate to have.

On October 26th Star Academy students and staff were able travel to Raleigh NC to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science.
