Just wanted to remind everyone that Student Loans come out of Forbearance on December 31, 2022. You will be put into Repayment on January 1, 2023. If you are unable to make your Student Loan Payments, please contact your Lenders. They have many ways to help you. They do not want to see you go into Default.

Good afternoon Students, I'm sure most if not all are aware by now that all your student loans are in Forbearance until Sept 30th, not only the ones that were behind but also the one's that were making payments. Everyone will be starting fresh in Oct. Please keep in touch with your lenders because they are always willing to do what ever they need to do to help you, if you were making payments and they were too high, give them a call, you can get them lowered. They don't want you to go into Default either. If you need my help, feel free to call me at 770-859-9779 Ext 2 for Marietta. I'm here Mon, Wed, and Thurs 10-7, Tues 9-6, and Fri 8-5. I take my lunch every day between 2 & 3.

This is for all you Student and Parents with Student or Parent Plus loans, you will have 0% interest for 6 months and if you are 30 days or more behind on your loans, they will be placed in an Emergency Forbearance till Sept. 30th.

I'm the Default Management Coordinator for Gwinnett College in Lilburn, Gwinnett College - Sandy Springs, Gwinnett College Atlanta-Marietta, Meridian College, Gwinnett Institute-Orlando, and Gwinnett College-Raleigh, I'm here to help all our former students keep from going into Default on their Student loans. Once you go into Default, they can garnish your wages, keep your tax returns, it will ruin your credit, it's possible that they can also suspend your license. etc. I can also help you if you have already gone into Default to get out of default. If you are currently in default on your student loan we can help you get out of Default. To be able to get out of Default you have to get into a Rehab program where you make 9-12 payments on time to be able to get out of Default.

After you go into default and when you file your tax return, the Department of Education’s collectors will garnish the entire refund; meaning that you will not receive anything in the form of a tax refund. They can also Garnish your wages from your Job.

We recognize that this is likely to be an even further detriment to your current financial situation and would like to offer our help to rehabilitate your student loan and keep this from happening. All you need to do is let me know what time will work for you and we can schedule a conference call with your lender.

The entire process should take 10-15 minutes and your payments will likely be very low. Please call me as soon as possible to avoid losing your tax return in January. Please also note: I work at our Gwinnett College campus in the Atlanta area so please do not think you’ve called the wrong school when our receptionist answers.
