Our Girls on the Run team celebrated big after they completed their 5k in Atlanta last weekend. We are so proud of their display of teamwork and motivation this season.

Today we’re celebrating School Lunch Hero Day, and next week is National School Nutrition Employee Week! Thanks to our Gwinnett County School Nutrition Program staff, a tasty, nutritious meal is a recipe for the success of student!

Good Morning!

We would like to invite families of 5th grade students to our 5th Grade Celebration on May 20, 2026.

Students will have their final walk through the hallways of Minor Elementary at 9:30am.

The Awards Ceremony will begin in the gym at 10:00 am with a reception following the ceremony in the classrooms.

Each 5th grade student will receive 4 tickets for the event.

Attention Families:

The final week for family members to join students for lunch will be May 11–15. During the last week of school, visitors will not be permitted to join students for lunch due to class parties and other scheduled events.

April is School Library Month! Thank you, Ms. Carlton, our school librarian and GCPS' Library Media Services staff, for promoting a love of reading, helping to transform learning through technology, and teaching literacy skills!

Kindergarten Registration

We look forward to welcoming our new kindergarten students in the 2026-27 school year! If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026, you can register now.

Kindergarten registration is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Much of the registration process, including the uploading of documents needed for registration, will be completed online.

April 6-10 is Spring Break.

Have a safe and relaxing Spring Break next week! Students and staff return to learning on Monday, April 13. District offices will be closed on Friday, April 10. Note that GCPS does not offer meal service on student holidays.
