Kaua‘i Community College (KCC) is committed to maintaining safe, respectful, and purposeful online spaces for all users. All content and engagement on KCC’s official social media platforms must adhere to professional standards and applicable laws. KCC reserves the right to remove any content that violates these standards, including but not limited to:
1. Endorsements of or opposition to political candidates or ballot measures.
3. Use of profane, obscene, or vulgar language or imagery.
4. Remarks or content that promote bias, mistreatment, or unfair treatment based on personal background or characteristics, including but not limited to cultural background, personal beliefs, age, sex, family status, economic status, physical or mental condition, or individual identity.
5. Inappropriate sexual material or links to such content.
6. Commercial advertising or promotional solicitations.
7. Promotion or endorsement of illegal behavior or activities.
8. Posts that may risk public safety or compromise digital security.
9. Material infringing on the legal rights or ownership of others.
10. Threats, harassment, or content intended to intimidate others.
11. Posts that violate personal privacy or present a security risk.
12. Hidden pages, password-restricted content, or deceptive links.
13. Spam, unsolicited messages, or mass communications.
14. Attempts to gather sensitive or private information for unauthorized use. All user-generated content is subject to moderation. KCC may take appropriate legal action in accordance with state and federal law. The college does not assume responsibility for content posted by external users.
