From learning to play the ukulele at age 7, taking Hula lesson's starting at age 8, to being a dreamer of joining a "Band" as a singer at age 9, she proceeded to develop her talents. She had found she also enjoyed Photography, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Sewing, Creative Crafts & Sports. At age 13 her parents purchased her first SLR a Ricoh 35mm, manual focus camera. Her knowledge & love for photography grew over the years, as she continued into High School she took classes in Photography with Mr. When she graduated from High School, she continued to learn more through on going Workshops held at Kauai Community College and through other Professionals in the business. Desiree started her own side business as a Photographer in 1986 a year after graduating High School and has been in the business off and on ever since. Desiree was also blessed with the opportunity to do Professional Modeling, her first gig was alongside the beautiful Crystal Abregg – Mrs. Desiree's schooling for Modeling came through classes with Showlites Unlimited under the direction of Cindy Kauanui and Linda Antipala back in 1992 where she graduated with Honors as "Best Runway Model" Over the years she modeled for numerous companies doing fashion, print ads, commercials and more. She was the “it” girl for 2 years for Robert’s Fashions where she modeled dozens of fashions that came out monthly in the Local Kauai People Newspaper. In 2005 she also played the role as "Carol" in the short film "Empty Streets” that has been seen in over 96 countries and is now available on Amazon. Check out

For a few years, back in 2001-2005 Desiree Owned & Operated "Destination Endless Studios" A School for Self Improvement & Modeling where she was able to guide young adults successfully in their modeling career, during this time, she had produced numerous Fashion Shows for different events and venues around the island including the Kauai Coconut Festival,The County Fair, Kauai Mokihana Festival, a few at the Kukui Grove Shopping Mall and other small venues. Over the years she has been in & out of a few bands, competed & won several talent contests as a "solo" act and represent Kauai in Hawaii
Stars back in 2004, she managed to raise 4 children (now grown adults), has married for the 2nd time & is currently raising her "Surprise Blessing" a Beautiful daughter, now 5 years old. For other part-time work she danced as a professional hula dancer throughout the years on Waialeale Boat Tours, Cha Enterprise at the Waiohai Beach hotel and for Leilani Bond Hula Halau at the Hyatt Regency Poipu where she also performed as a Chanter for the Torch Lighting Ceremony at the Seaview Terrace. These days, Desiree is still hard at work as a Photographer, Event Planner, Talent Coach/Scout/Promoter, Social Media Businesses & Events Advocate, an on-call Model, aspiring actress, craft artisan of jewelry & other things, Co-Owner of JnD Services and is currently taking an online course in Fashion Design, in her free time she tries to play & write her own music & spends time with Ohana.
