"A Room To Grow" Philosophy:
Each child is a unique individual with their own talents, abilities, inter-ests and strengths. A Room to Grow, ensures that the children will have an environment that will pro-mote individuality through a play-based, child-centered program that integrates all developmental areas. As a direct result, children’s curios-ity, discovery and problem solving skills will be promoted and enhanced to allow individual growth and the development of a positive self-image. The four goals of our center:
• Provide an environment that is home-like, nurturing, loving, on-going learning facilitated by adults who put the children first, are responsive to their needs and wants, challenge, encourage and support children in realizing their fullest capacity and potential.
• Embrace and respect similarities and differences, in order to maintain and develop strong, positive, productive, caring and good working relationships between staff, families, children and the community.
• To partner with other organiza-tions in our community for the betterment of our Kaua`i Ohana.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that evolves from the inter-est of the children and the ideas of the parents and staff that embraces our roots (Hawaiian culture) and the blending of cultures in our modern Hawaii.
