Ligonier Momco MomCo is a non-profit organization that encourages and equips mom to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders in relationships with Jesus.

MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. We also believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying along side one another. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it's a little confusing so let's just stick with "MOPS." We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.

We had an absolute amazing first meeting! We had had plenty of opportunity to catch up with old friends and introduce ourselves to new ones. We dove deeper into this year’s theme of “Good Company.”

At its core, Good Company is about rediscovering the kind of real, “analog” friendships many of us remember from before so much of our lives moved onto screens — the kind where we call each other randomly, show up to say hello, share meals, welcome people into our imperfect homes, pray for one another, and walk alongside each other through both the joys and difficulties of life.

If you missed this meeting, don’t fret. We have our normally scheduled meeting next week and we would love for you to join us!

Dear Mamas,

Well, we certainly didn’t expect to kick off our MomCo year quite like this!

As many of you know, our cancellation policy follows the Ligonier Valley School District: if LVSD is closed or operating on a two-hour delay, MomCo does not meet. With the unexpected school closures and ongoing mold and air-quality testing throughout the district, we will not be holding our regular MomCo meeting tomorrow, September 2.

But since we were all planning to be together anyway, we thought we’d make the best of this bizarre start to the school year! Anyone who would like to join us is invited to an informal playdate at Friendship Park tomorrow at 9:30 AM. Come if you can! This will not be a regular MomCo meeting — no program, no agenda, just a chance for moms and kids to get out of the house and enjoy some time together.

With everything being shuffled around, our tentative September schedule is now:

Official MomCo Kick-Off Meeting — Covenant Church

First MomCo+ Bible Study of the Year

We realize this doesn’t follow our usual first-and-third-Wednesday MomCo schedule, but crazy times call for a little flexibility — and if there’s one thing moms know how to do, it’s adjust on the fly!

Thank you so much for your understanding as we navigate this unusual beginning to the year. We hope to see some of you at the park tomorrow, and we’re especially looking forward to officially kicking off our MomCo year together next Wednesday!
