What Does a Masterpiece Look Like? He stares in wonder at the hand print left behind on the paper. A two year-old clapping with her teacher at her success on the potty squealing, “I did it!” Enjoying the soft sand between their fingers as they pour and scoop, little ones laugh with one another. Preschoolers baking imaginary cookies, learning to work together with their friends and offering their homemade treats to their teacher. Young readers beaming with pride as they point to the words in the book “Green Eggs and Ham.” Children racing, jumping, climbing, and swinging on the playground discovering all the amazing ways they can move their body. What We Believe
Educating the whole child is truly an art. What guides us at The Art of Smart is our deep conviction that all children have innate strengths and unlimited potential. A 21st century model of what makes a child “smart” needs to address more than just academics. Helping each child discover how they best learn can only occur in a loving, safe, and inspired environment. How We Achieve It
Philosopher John Locke believed children's minds were a “tabula rasa” or blank slate. Think of their mind as a canvas; the parents, teachers, and community are all members of an Artist Collective. This collective works to create a beautiful masterpiece. For their part, our teachers are equipped with a colorful palette of creative academic, social- emotional, and physical experiences to add to the canvas. Each contribution helps lay the foundation for the child’s success. Every child enters a primed canvas, and leaves a masterpiece.

Ms. Maria made dinosaur eggs using baking soda and water with little dinosaurs hidden inside! 🦖🥚✨

The kiddos had so much fun using droppers to make the eggs fizz and melt away as they discovered the dinosaurs hiding inside. It was the perfect mix of science, sensory play, and prehistoric fun! 🌋💛

Yesterday was a DINO-mite day at our school! 🦖✨

Our little dinosaurs pretended to stomp, roar, and explore the prehistoric world while wearing the dinosaur masks and tails they created themselves! We kicked off the fun with an exciting dinosaur parade around the school, and it was SO much fun! 🦕

Later, the school enjoyed three different volcano experiments that made everyone feel like real scientists 🌋🤯 and to make the day even more unforgettable… the dinosaurs came to visit us! The kiddos danced, played, and shared so many smiles with their dino friends. 💚

A day full of imagination, science, movement, laughter, and prehistoric fun!
