If your kiddo came home from tutoring this week telling you that I am going to offer a $50 Gift Card, they are correct! I am going to be counting the times (I got a new counter) they say their sounds as they write. The kiddo with the highest percentage of saying their sounds at the end of September will win the $50 Gift Card to Target! The fastest way for them to improve their spelling is by saying the sounds as they write them. Doing this at home during homework will help them as well! I look forward to all of the benefits this little competition will bring to ALL the kids!

Adding games to tutoring lessons makes it more enjoyable for both my students and myself! Simon is a great game to play to help increase focus and holding information in our short term memory. This translates to reading in remembering sounds in syllables as well as syllables in words!

The growth I see in my students with EBLI Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction is AMAZING! I started EBLI with Keem at the beginning of summer. With just nine hours of instruction his fluency rate increased 66%! AMAZING!

I can't wait to share! Since taking Theo through all 140 Activities in EBLI, I am now a certified EBLI instructor! Theo may be the first, but there will be MANY more students who benefit from this certification as well!

EBLI has 140 standard activities, after a student has completed them we can continue working on reading and writing at high levels. Theo is my first student to have completed all 140 EBLI Activities and I couldn't be prouder!

I want to brag just a minute on Theo. This kid puts in the time and the effort and man is it showing! He just completed activity #100 with me! He's come such a long way since we switched to using EBLI. So proud of you T!
