😊🤟 Today is World Emoji Day!

Emojis help us show feelings, ideas, and reactions without using spoken words. American Sign Language also reminds us that communication happens through our hands, facial expressions, body movements, and connection with one another.

Communication is so much more than words.

After many years of teaching, training, and serving in the Deaf community, I find myself in a new season… one of reflection, reconnection, and renewed purpose.

This week, I reached out to many of you through my first email in a long time. As I began to see the names of those who opened it — former students, parents, educators, colleagues, and organizations — my heart was truly touched.

Some of you have been connected to me for over 20 years.

And to see that you’re still here… still present… still open to hearing from me… means more than I can express.

It reminded me that the work we’ve done together — building bridges of communication between Deaf and hearing communities — has lasting impact.

As I move forward, I’m excited to share more, serve in new ways, and continue this journey with you.

I would love to reconnect.

Tell me…
Are you currently working with or connected to someone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing?
