How Do You Live? To us, creating your home starts with a crucial question: How do you live? By listening, we customize and create a home just for you, in neighborhoods that foster true community, with front porches, high end amenities and locations close to downtown, parks, schools and transit. We are a developer unlike any other. Experience your own StreetScape home.
School Street, our recently completed project, is a front porch revival, infill project located in downtown historic Libertyville, IL. The project started in 2010 and the last home closed in June of 2014. The street is home to a collection of 26 single-family homes as well as a school transformed into 15 urban lofts. Quaint shops, award-winning food and transportation are all within walking distance from the neighborhood. Author of bestseller The Not So Big House, Sarah Susanka designed her first ever show house on School Street, which was open to the public for six months and over 9,000 visitors flocked to experience her design. SchoolStreet also includes a Zero Energy Ready Home featured in a recent U.S. Department of Energy case study.
Currently StreetScape is developing its Floral Avenue neighborhood in the heart of downtown Skokie. It includes 20 homes positioned only several blocks away from restaurants, shopping, a world class library, parks, an excellent school system and public transportation to downtown Chicago. A new breed of housing is emerging and is attractive to those who crave an urban environment without living in the city. Floral Avenue is the epitome of New Urbanism - walkable and sustainable all while advocating for neighborly interaction and community living. The first two phases are sold out and families have already moved into the newly created neighborhood.
