Liberty High School will host a college scholarship celebration on Monday, September 28, at 3:00 pm, where LHS seniors will learn they've been awarded early scholarship offers from colleges and universities across the country—before they even submit applications! (Seniors receiving award letters will be notified via ParentSquare before our celebration on Monday.)

Liberty High School has partnered with VU Scholarships to flip the traditional college search process. Instead of students applying to colleges and hoping for financial aid, the district worked to identify scholarship opportunities at colleges where students already qualify based on their academic records. This allows students to explore colleges knowing what financial support is available to them.

The celebration is part of Liberty ISD's commitment to removing financial barriers to higher education and ensuring every student understands their college options. Through a new district initiative using VU Scholarships’ technology, students who have opted-in to this service (at no cost) have been matched with schools where they qualify for merit scholarships totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars based on their current academic achievements.
