FIRST Robotics Competition Team for the Liberty School District FIRST® Team 1764 stands out as a predominantly student-led organization.
Our team was founded in 2005 and we are a member of the FIRST® FRC program. We strive to exemplify Woodie Flowers' ideas of Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition through our relationships with other teams. The way we relate to other FRC teams is friendly and helpful, not malicious. FIRST® Team 1764 has a history of success at competitions, winning numerous awards in various fields.

Hey folks,
For those of you that do not know, our Robotics team (Team STING-R #5098) will be hosting the MoKan State Competition, at North Kansas City High School, June 6th (setup), 7th, and 8th (finale/teardown). This event is free and open to the public. If you like robots (or like to hang around robot related stuff), we could use your help. We need volunteers for a lot of positions—often with no experience needed! We hosted the event last year, and everyone loved it! This year, we want to do even better! To do that though, we need your help! As an added bonus, if you volunteer BEFORE this coming Monday (May 19th), you will receive a cool Volunteer shirt that will not be for sale anywhere! Volunteer today, STING-R thanks you in advance!

2025 Heartland Regional is a wrap! We were selected by the #6 alliance captain, Team 757, and joined by Team 935. We unfortunately lost our first match to the alliance that went on to win the competition. They were a strongly built and balanced alliance with strong offense and extremely strong defense. We were able to win our 2nd match in the bottom bracket, before losing a really tight match thereafter. We ended up winning the Gracious Professionalism Award, which speaks volumes about the character of Liberty Robotics team members. When other teams were in need, whether that was for parts, materials, or assistance, our kids stepped up without batting an eyelash. They truly understand and embody Woodie Flowers’ vision.

Sometimes it’s ok to put lipstick on a pig. Our old trailer got a facelift and we can’t be more appreciative of John Duffy for the interior work and Dustin Kenyon for the exterior. She’s a beaut!
