William Jewell College

Aidan Neill of Las Vegas has been selected to serve in the Kansas Highway Patrol. 💙 He will enter the 26-week academy in July and, after successful completion, be assigned as a state trooper in Johnson and Wyandotte counties. At Jewell, Aidan was a communication major and member of the soccer team.

Congratulations to Dr. Kirk McCullough, William Jewell College Alumni Class of 2001, on being named a Venue Medical Officer for the 2026 World Cup! He is an orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine at Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute. At Jewell, he was a biology major and a member of the pre-med program and men's basketball.

Leo Edwards has been hired as a first-grade teacher in the Independence School District! The Lansing, Kansas, native was a four-year member of William Jewell College Choirs (Concert Choir, Cardinal Voices and Choral Scholars), a member of Kappa Delta Pi education honor society and a vocalist, pianist and auxiliary percussionist for William Jewell College Bands Jazz Band. 🎶

William Jewell Softball outfielder Mikayla Chairez earned All-America honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association! The Blue Springs native graduated magna cm laude last month.

Ryan Erlacher has been named Jewell's new Vice President for Athletics!

He brings more than 20 years’ administrative experience, most recently serving as Director of Athletics at Augusta University and Clayton State University in Georgia. We look forward to giving him a warm Cardinal welcome on July 1.
