Going into day 2 of the KBN HS State Championship the duo of Landon Pierce and Eli Childers knew that they still had work to do. As with most days fishing they knew adjustments would need to made as the day brought less cloud cover and more current in the system. The other anglers were ready to capitalize if given the chance. The boys stayed strong and made adjustments after their primary school of fish that brought 20 pounds to the scale on day one was being stubborn. Those adjustments allowed them to bring 19.07 pounds to the scale on day 2, securing the championship. Landon and Eli were awarded a $60,000.00 scholarship offer to KCU for their finish. Great job fellas!

After Day 1 of the KBN High School State Championship on the famous KY Lake, Landon Pierce and Eli Childers are grateful to be sitting in first place with 20.05 lbs.

Day 1 didn’t start the way they hoped. They had a rough start and had to stay patient and keep grinding, but things eventually came together.

They know there’s still a long way to go, and Day 2 is all that matters now. The goal is simple: stay focused, fish hard, and make the most of the opportunity.

They’re thankful to be in this position and looking forward to another day on the water. 🎣🏆

Today finished up the regular season with the KBN state trail on Green River Lake. Casey County had two high school and one middle school teams competing. Eli Childers/Landon Pierce closed out their senior regular season strong with the win. They had a five fish limit weighing 21.05 pounds. Hagen Wesley/Clay Johnson had four bass weighing around the 8lb mark. We are unsure of their finish as the results are still pending. Kaylee Duncan competed solo on the junior side and the keeper bass were elusive.

I want to thank everyone that came out and fished with us this year. I truly enjoyed having these tournaments and seeing the group of anglers grow from the start to the end.
