Our amazing preschool, Second Friends, has been named a Top 3 Winner in the Best Northland Daycare category by the Courier-Tribune and Gladstone Dispatch newspapers again! Congratulations to our amazing staff! We are thankful for you.

Exciting news for our preschool!

We are pleased to announce that Kate Rettig Tysdahl has been named our new Second Friends Preschool director.

Kate will begin as director on June 1, upon Becky Gossett's retirement.

We can’t possibly express our appreciation or say enough about how impactful Becky’s time in this position has been for the children, families, staff, and congregation. She was involved in the selection process of our next director, and we are thrilled that person is Kate!

Kate and her family moved to the Liberty square in 2014, and have been members of Second Baptist Church since 2018. Chad and Kate are parents to Izzy, Sophie, Evan, and Claire. Kate taught in the Liberty school district for 10 years before staying home with children. She has remained active with the children’s ministry, Second Friends advisory board, and the Northland Symphony Orchestra. Please join us in welcoming Kate to Second Friends!

Well, tomorrow will be our 395th snow day for this year! We are looking forward to the heat wave next week. Enjoy your Littles and tell them that we miss them!
