Hello! My name is Lauren Thompson, and this will be my third year at AD as a paraprofessional. I am currently studying Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University and am excited to become a classroom teacher.

My husband and I have two boys who attend Liberty Public Schools. Our oldest is in 6th grade, and our youngest is in 2nd grade. Our oldest son has autism, which has given me a very special place in my heart for special education and supporting students with unique learning needs.

When I’m not at school, you can usually find me making memories with my family & friends, cheering on our favorite #13 during baseball, football, and basketball seasons, or watching our oldest participate in swim.

I’m looking forward to another amazing year at AD and can’t wait to see what this school year brings!

Hello friends! My name is Ms Morgan (also known as Ms Mermaid) and I am a resource para here at AD! I’m also a doctoral candidate at UMKC, obsessed BTS fan, and equestrian.

I am new to this side of education. I have spent 30 years in the field of Software Quality. Love the Liberty area I graduated from William Jewell, Class of 1994. Continued education and learning new things has always been a big part of my life. Retired in 2025 and tried para positions on temp schedule which led to full time position in Jan 2026. I love to travel and am always reading a couple books. I have 4 adult kids and 7 grandkids, some with special needs. I’m an active member and current VFW Post 1829 Auxiliary President. I live near Lawson MO in a busy 3 generational household! Julie Lindsey

This year, I am stepping into the role of instructional coach after spending the past 16 years in the elementary classroom. Supporting students, building relationships, and collaborating with teachers have always been the most rewarding parts of my work, and I look forward to continuing that in a new way.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband is also a teacher in Liberty, and we have two daughters who attend Alexander Doniphan Elementary. I feel fortunate to be both an educator and a parent in this wonderful community and look forward to another great year.

Hello, I’m Cara Mace. This will be my 27th year of teaching. As a classroom teacher, I've taught grades 2nd-5th and as a special education teacher K-5th. I will be stepping into the role of a resource teacher for this school year and excited for something new. I earned my undergraduate degree at William Jewell College, my master's degree from Webster University and I'm 1 class short of completing my education specialist degree from Northwest Missouri State University (so close). I love working in my flower gardens, planning new garden beds with my husband (Bryan), playing with my dogs (Izzy and Belle), reading, and all things purple.

Hi! I’m Beth Todtfeld. I’ve been a special education teacher for 19 years. This will be year number 10 at Doniphan. I have two daughters who attend Doniphan as well.
When I’m not at school I like to camp, hike, listen to music, read, and take care of my plants. I also have a dog, Francie, who follows me wherever I go. I’m usually working on a writing project or researching something interesting. I love learning new things.
