Today, our 5th graders had the chance to experiment with Chibitronics- a form of paper circuitry that our library has thanks to a VERY generous grant from Liberty Education Foundation. It is a challenging process, but kids are already buzzing about what they will add next week! Thanks Liberty for your support!!

Specials Update!
In order to try and provide different activities for your kiddos each week without overwhelming families, our specials team has decided to each post our activities on different days. These won't match up with the schedule your student had in school, but they will be consistent as long as we're at home.
Monday - PE
Tuesday - Music
Wednesday - Library
Thursday - Art
Friday - Free choice!
Watch for activities in SeeSaw! These aren't mandatory, but they are a good way to pass the time if your kiddo is getting bored.
Also - Mrs. Bright is continuing to add to her FlipGrid of book recommendations. This week, she's focusing on books she knows you can download from Sora! Be sure to check out her book talks here:

For those of you looking to continue your learning while we're at home for a few weeks, remember - all students still have access to our online databases like PebbleGo, TumbleBooks, and Encyclopedia Britannica. However - since you're not inside the building, you will have to use a special username/password to access these paid sites.
I am including a link here so that you can find out what all those usernames/passwords are. In order to view this document, you will need to log in AS A STUDENT with your LPS gmail account ([email protected] & Lps password).

If you have trouble, let me know. I'll also be sharing directions to access our online book collection very soon! :) - Mrs. Bright

Families - Just a reminder that student devices will begin coming home on FRIDAY this week if you have purchased insurance! Haven't purchased yet? It's not too late! Contact your student's teacher for their 9 digit student number and head to www.one2onerisk.com
In order to be sure teachers have accurate information on Friday, please plan to make your purchases as soon as possible. Last minute purchases may mean your child won't be able to take their device home until next week.
