After an unforgettable week exploring Ireland, the Liberty FFA travel group has officially made it home!

From walking the streets of Dublin and touring historic castles to visiting family farms, orchards, oyster farms, and equine operations, every day brought new opportunities to learn about agriculture, history, and culture. We experienced breathtaking sights like the Cliffs of Moher and Kylemore Abbey, watched incredible sheepdog demonstrations, enjoyed authentic Irish music and food, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

This trip was so much more than sightseeing. It was an opportunity for our students to broaden their perspectives, build confidence, create lifelong friendships, and see firsthand how agriculture connects people around the world.

A sincere thank you to our families, supporters, and everyone who helped make this experience possible. Your encouragement allowed our students to take part in a journey they will never forget.

Most of all, thank you to our Liberty FFA members. You represented our chapter, school, and community with kindness, respect, curiosity, and professionalism every step of the way. We couldn't be more proud of the way you embraced every opportunity.

The adventure may be over, but the memories—and the lessons we learned—will stay with us forever.
Until the next adventure... 💙💛🌍

Day 7 - Galway ☘️🇮🇪

It's hard to believe our Irish adventure has come to an end. We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our final day, experiencing even more of Ireland's rich history, agriculture, and breathtaking landscapes.

Our day began at Glengowla Mines, where we stepped back in time to learn about Ireland's mining history and the resilience of those who worked underground. We then watched an incredible sheepdog demonstration, witnessing the remarkable bond between shepherd and dog as they skillfully worked together to manage the flock—a tradition that remains an important part of Irish agriculture.

We stopped at Kylemore Abbey, where we explored the stunning Victorian Walled Garden and took in the beauty of one of Ireland's most iconic landmarks. Walking through the meticulously restored gardens and the historic abbey was the perfect way to reflect on an unforgettable week of learning and discovery.

Before heading to dinner, we visited DK Connemara Oyster Farm, where students learned how oysters are cultivated along Ireland's rugged coastline. It was a fascinating look at aquaculture and another reminder of the diversity of agriculture around the world.

As we prepare to head home, we're bringing back so much more than pictures and souvenirs. We've gained new perspectives on agriculture, history, and culture while creating friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 6 - Cliffs of Moher

Today, Liberty FFA checked another bucket-list destination off our itinerary with a visit to the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher. Standing along Ireland's rugged coastline, our students took in spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and experienced one of the country's most iconic natural landmarks. It's hard to put into words just how incredible the scenery was!

As if the day couldn't get any better, we also celebrated a very special birthday! 🎉 Happy Birthday to Mariah! We surprised her with cake, and the entire tour bus joined together to sing "Happy Birthday." It was a wonderful reminder that while we've come from different places, this trip has brought us together like one big family.

From unforgettable landscapes to unforgettable memories, every day in Ireland continues to be an adventure. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Day 5 - Waterford ☘️🐄

Yesterday, Liberty FFA continued our journey through Ireland by experiencing agriculture from the farm all the way to the table.

We began the day at Crowley's Family Farm, where students learned about the dedication, innovation, and hard work that goes into operating a successful Irish family farm. Hearing directly from the family about their operation gave our members a deeper appreciation for the similarities and unique differences between farming in Ireland and the United States.

Next, we visited Grow Your Own, an out-farm supplying fresh produce while demonstrating the importance of sustainable farming and local food production. Seeing crops grown with care and purpose reinforced the value of supporting local agriculture and understanding where our food comes from.
To finish the day, we enjoyed an unforgettable farm-to-table dinner at GROW HQ, where many of the fresh ingredients served were grown just steps away. It was the perfect way to experience the connection between agriculture, sustainability, and the food on our plates.

Each day of this trip continues to show our students that agriculture extends far beyond the farm—it connects communities, cultures, and people around the world. We are grateful for the knowledge shared, the friendships made, and the memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 4 - Cahir 🐂☘️
Today, Liberty FFA had the opportunity to experience two incredible family farms in Cahir, giving our students a firsthand look at the diversity of Irish agriculture.

Our day began at The Apple Farm, where we learned about the production of apples, strawberries, and other crops, as well as how the family has diversified their operation through value-added products and agritourism. It was inspiring to see how innovation and tradition work hand in hand to create a successful family business.

We then visited the Reidy Family Farm, where we were welcomed with genuine Irish hospitality while learning about their livestock operation and the daily management of a family farm. Conversations with the Reidy family gave our students a chance to compare farming practices in Ireland and the United States, proving that while agriculture may look different around the world, the passion for caring for the land and animals is universal.

Experiences like these remind us that agriculture is a global community. We are incredibly thankful to the families who opened their gates, shared their knowledge, and welcomed Liberty FFA with such kindness.

Day #3 - Kilkenny 🇮🇪 ☘️
Today was another unforgettable day for Liberty FFA as we explored two very different, yet equally impressive, parts of Ireland.

Our morning was spent touring an Irish stud farm, where students learned about Ireland's world-renowned Thoroughbred horse industry. From breeding and foal care to the management practices that produce some of the world's finest racehorses, it was an incredible opportunity to see another side of agriculture and gain a new appreciation for the equine industry.

In the afternoon, we traveled to the breathtaking Kilkenny Castle. Walking through the historic castle and its beautiful grounds gave our students a chance to experience centuries of Irish history while taking in some incredible views.

Every day on this trip is filled with opportunities to learn, explore, and experience a different culture. We're grateful for the memories we're making together and excited for what the rest of our Irish adventure has in store!

Day 2 Recap - Dublin
Today was a day full of history, culture, and unforgettable experiences for Liberty FFA! 🇮🇪☘️

Our group explored the streets of Dublin, taking in the sights and atmosphere of Ireland's capital. We toured the breathtaking St. Patrick's Cathedral, learning about its rich history and significance. We wrapped up the evening the best way possible—with authentic Irish music, traditional dancing, and plenty of smiles.

Every stop on this journey is giving our members the opportunity to experience agriculture, history, and culture beyond the classroom. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
