**Mrs. Katie Board Named Principal of Casey County High School**
Casey County Schools is proud to announce the selection of Mrs. Katie Board as the next Principal of Casey County High School.
Mrs. Board brings extensive educational experience, a deep commitment to student success, and a leadership approach that is both steady and student-centered. During her career with Casey County Schools, she has served as a Special Education Teacher at Jones Park Elementary School and Casey County High School and has held several leadership positions at Casey County High School, including Curriculum Coach, Dean of Students, and, most recently, Assistant Principal. Through each of these roles, she has demonstrated a strong ability to build relationships, support teachers, and maintain a positive school culture focused on high expectations and continuous improvement.
Superintendent Barry Lee expressed appreciation for the collaborative process that led to the selection.
"I want to sincerely thank the Casey County High School SBDM Council for their collaboration and partnership throughout this process. Their thoughtful input and commitment to assist with selecting the right leader for our students and staff were greatly appreciated," said Lee. "Mrs. Board brings valuable experience and a calm, steady leadership style that will continue moving Casey County High School to the next level. Her focus on students, support of staff, and ability to lead through both opportunity and challenge make her an outstanding choice to serve our school community."
Mrs. Board shared her excitement about the opportunity to lead Casey County High School.
"I am honored and excited to step into the role of Principal at Casey County High School. Casey County Schools and this community hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to serving our students, staff, families, and community in this new capacity. I am grateful for this opportunity and eager to work alongside our dedicated staff and community to support the success of every student at CCHS."
Katie and her husband, Jacob, have been married for 10 years. Both are lifelong residents of Casey County and proud graduates of Casey County High School. Together, they have two sons: Charlie, who will be entering third grade at Liberty Elementary School, and Calvin, who will turn 2 in September.
Mrs. Board replaces Mr. Matt Knight, who was recently named Director of District-Wide Programs for Casey County Schools, where he will provide leadership and support across the district in assessment and mathematics initiatives.
Please join Casey County Schools in congratulating Mrs. Board as she begins this new role and continues serving the students and families of Casey County.
