Music Program at William Jewell College

Hamilton R-II School District welcomes Ms. Kailynn Byrne as K-12 Vocal Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Ms. Byrne has student taught in the Independence School District at Truman High School and at Blackburn Elementary School. Ms. Byrne loves making music in and outside the classroom by participating in professional choral ensembles.

Leo Edwards has been hired as a first-grade teacher in the Independence School District! The Lansing, Kansas, native was a four-year member of William Jewell College Choirs (Concert Choir, Cardinal Voices and Choral Scholars), a member of Kappa Delta Pi education honor society and a vocalist, pianist and auxiliary percussionist for William Jewell College Bands Jazz Band. 🎶

You're looking at the new Outsourced Accounting Services Consultant at Forvis Mazars US in Springfield! Ashlyn Helmich of Weston (West Platte School District) was an accounting major and music minor, involved in Alpha Gamma Delta, William Jewell College Choirs and Revive Women's Bible Study.

We aren’t done celebrating our graduates. Amelia Beck walked across the stage last Saturday!!! 🎶❤️🖤🎶 We are excited that she will be staying for a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Woooooo!!!

We are excited to welcome Amelia Beck! She is a viola player from Wichita, KS who transferred to Jewell at the start of the Spring 2023 semester from Emporia State University. Amelia is majoring in psychological science and music performance and is most excited "to see what LSO brings for the fall semester as well as the opportunities that will arise with Chamber Orchestra in the following semesters." 🎶❤️🖤🎶
