Music Recruiter John Wilson, in coordination with Jeff Girard at Gateway Sheet Music, presented a new band music reading clinic, June 16, at the 57th Annual Missouri Bandmasters Association Summer Convention at Margaritaville Lake Resort. Sixty band directors and college students from across the State of Missouri performed the new music under the baton of Mr. Wilson.

Hamilton R-II School District welcomes Ms. Kailynn Byrne as K-12 Vocal Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Ms. Byrne has student taught in the Independence School District at Truman High School and at Blackburn Elementary School. Ms. Byrne loves making music in and outside the classroom by participating in professional choral ensembles.

"I'm so excited for the opportunity to get to know your wonderful students and community; especially as I begin my teaching journey. I can't wait for Hamilton to show me what it means to be a Hornet!"

Leo Edwards has been hired as a first-grade teacher in the Independence School District! The Lansing, Kansas, native was a four-year member of William Jewell College Choirs (Concert Choir, Cardinal Voices and Choral Scholars), a member of Kappa Delta Pi education honor society and a vocalist, pianist and auxiliary percussionist for William Jewell College Bands Jazz Band. 🎶
