Fortis Academy is thrilled to announce the launch of our House system for the 2026-2027 school year. Our new Houses will compete throughout the school year in a variety of competitions which will culminate on the last day of school with an entire morning of activities. All of the points earned throughout the year will be calculated to determine the first ever Fortis House Cup winner! The competitions begin August 8th with our Back to School Bash and House induction ceremony at Dave & Busters. Good luck to each House!

✨ Meet Our New Teacher: Victoria McCauley ✨

We are excited to welcome Victoria McCauley to Fortis Academy as our Logic Science teacher!

Victoria is a devoted follower of Jesus, wife, and mother of three who is passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. She brings five years of experience across several learning environments, including homeschooling, faith-based preschool, and teaching fifth grade. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to meeting students where they are and partnering with families in their education.

Science has always been one of Victoria’s greatest passions because she believes every discovery points to the incredible wisdom, creativity, and order of our Creator. As her students explore God’s world, she hopes they will grow in both scientific understanding and appreciation for the One who designed it all.

Outside the classroom, Victoria enjoys running, reading, coaching group fitness classes, spending time around animals, and adventuring with her family.

🍎 Meet Our New Teacher: Lori Rinck!
We are excited to welcome Lori Rinck to the Fortis Academy team! Lori has been classically educating her children since 2020 and brings approximately ten years of experience leading exercise programs at athletic clubs in Oregon and Montana. She also has experience in photography, business, and nonprofit leadership, reflecting her creativity and heart for serving others.
Lori will teach Logic and Rhetoric P.E., CPR/First Aid and Nutrition, and Rhetoric Introduction to Business. She is passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences through practical projects, group activities, and outdoor movement.
Lori looks forward to encouraging students to take initiative, apply what they learn, and become confident “doers, not bystanders.”

🎨 Meet Our New Grammar Art Teacher! 🎨
Please join us in giving a warm Fortis Academy welcome to Harmony Ranahan as our new Grammar Electives Art Instructor!
Harmony has been homeschooling her children for the past five years and has spent the last two years teaching art in a homeschool co-op, where she loves helping students discover their creativity and confidence through artistic expression. A naturally creative and crafty person, she also has a deep love for music and the fine arts, bringing both enthusiasm and inspiration into the classroom.
In addition to her homeschool teaching experience, Harmony currently serves as a substitute teacher with Liberty Hill ISD and has taught a variety of subjects, including Bible, Chemistry, and Physics. Her diverse teaching background reflects her love of learning and her heart for investing in students.
Most importantly, Harmony's faith is at the center of everything she does. She has followed Christ since childhood, serves faithfully on the worship team at her church, and seeks to honor the Lord in every aspect of her life.
We are so grateful to have Harmony joining our Fortis Academy community this year and can't wait to see the creativity and joy she'll bring to our students. Welcome to Fortis, Harmony! 🎉🎨

Fortis Academy Mother's Day Out for 3 & 4 Year Olds – Shaping Hearts & Preparing Minds for Kindergarten!

At Fortis Academy, our Mother's Day Out program provides a joyful, Christ-centered environment where 3 and 4 year olds grow in their love for Christ while building the essential skills needed for Kindergarten success.

What makes our MDO special?

Daily Bible stories, prayer, and character training that teaches reverence for God and kindness toward others. Kindergarten Readiness: Hands-on learning develops strong number sense through math manipulatives, letter recognition, and phonetic awareness. Holistic Development: Engaging activities that build fine/gross motor skills, social abilities, wonder for God’s creation, and a genuine love for learning—all in a safe, nurturing space.

Classes meet two days a week (M/W or T/Th) from 9 AM – 3 PM (August–May). Fortis Academy partners with families to foster independence, curiosity, and Christ-like character during these important early years.

📚 Meet Our New Teacher: Mrs. Jordan Robinson!

We are excited to welcome Jordan Robinson to Fortis Academy as our 1st Grade Tuesday/Thursday Grammar Teacher!

Jordan holds a degree in Family and Child Development and brings years of experience working with children in educational and ministry settings. She has experience in early childhood education, homeschool classrooms, lesson planning, volunteer coordination, and creating engaging learning experiences for young learners.

As a Fortis parent, Jordan brings a meaningful connection to our community and firsthand experience with our hybrid model. Having grown up in a homeschool and classical education environment similar to Fortis, she understands the value of partnering with families to help students thrive academically and personally.

Jordan loves working with children and is passionate about helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. She is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who strives to keep Christ at the center of her home and daily life.

She is excited to be part of a school that integrates strong academics with Christ-centered character development, and we are thrilled to have her join the Fortis Academy team.

📚 Meet Our New Teacher: Christine Swoda
We are excited to welcome Christine Swoda to Fortis Academy as our Logic School Math teacher!
Christine holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics and graduated magna cm laude. She brings experience teaching at the university level, where she instructed Trigonometry, led math help sessions, and supported students across a range of subjects. She also contributed to developing math problems for computer-based learning.
As a Fortis parent, Christine brings a meaningful connection to our community and firsthand experience with our hybrid model, supporting her children’s learning at home and helping them build confidence in math.
Christine is passionate about helping students think logically and understand mathematical concepts deeply...not just how to solve problems, but why they work. She values a structured, supportive approach that encourages critical thinking and growth.
She is excited to be part of a school that integrates strong academics with Christ-centered character development.
