I have some amazing red belts that help me with the white/orange belts! Today the class was all white belts and Daniel (1st Gup). I don’t remember having that since I opened the school! It was so much fun and even better with the help I got from Daniel, and he’s been with me from humble beginnings (in a church gym) and since I opened the school! What an excellent example of giving back to the school. He took such good care of the littles today. Thank you Daniel and all the other 1st Gups who help me regularly.
Raylin, Eri and Zane are a few others that help me all the time.

Been away for a couple of weeks. I guess they missed me! I missed them all too! ❤️ Oh, my beating heart! 💓 😆

What an awesome crew I have that have helped me keep the Dojang clean and running while I was away.

To our Hwa Sun Warriors Team and all of our students THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am so happy and grateful to have you in my life! 😊💕

Thank you also to KSN Ian Bidot and KSN Pomerantz who also helped out a lot with the schedule and many of advanced classes!

Rumble in Humble Tournament on Saturday, October 3, 2026, is now OPEN for registration!

This is a great space for students of all ranks to challenge themselves, build confidence, and enjoy a day of friendly competition. Events will include:

Forms
Sparring (gear required)
Board Breaking
Weapons(Green Belt & up)

8:00 AM – Rules Meeting
8:30 AM – Opening Ceremony
9:00 AM – Black Belt Competition
12:30 PM – White & Orange Belt Check-In

3:30 PM – Red Belt Check-In

$55 – 1–2 Events
$10 – Each Additional Event

July 17-19, 2026 the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan hosted the 32nd Annual All Tang Soo Do National Championships in Katy, TX!!

🏆 Hwa Sun Martial Arts went to Nationals in Houston!🏆

What a great tournament!

All of our students worked very hard to go and compete at The Nationals and some won medals and some didn’t! But, even if they didn’t all win medals it was still a huge learning experience for all of our students!

I am very proud of the character our students displayed. They supported one another and cheered for each other! Most of our students competed at Nationals for the very first time.

Some of our students also stepped into new divisions to compete and may have faced strong opponents in the ring. Despite some disappointments, every one of them returned with more enthusiasm, experience, greater confidence, and a much clearer understanding of what’s next in their training!

We are ready and excited to start training for the next tournament!

We are so proud and inspired by every one of our students who represented Hwa Sun Martial Arts with so much skill, determination, and awesome sportsmanship.

As a teacher it’s incredible to see your students compete with such enthusiasm and joy!

Last weekend (July 17-19, 2026) the Mi Guk Kwan held the 32nd All Tang Soo Do National Championships. It was a weekend filled with amazing competition and fun fellowship!

#4 Midsummer Challenge Tournament!

Last weekend we hosted our Midsummer Challenge Tournament in Divine Savior Academy (Santa Rita Ranch) in Liberty Hill and it was so much fun! We had 29 students from our school competing which is the most students we have ever had compete at our tournament. This was the third year of running it!
We are so proud of all our students. Well done Hwa Sun Martial Arts students!
Thanks for all the other schools that attended as well. We had so many wonderful students there and all with such good attitudes and discipline! Well done and congratulations to all of you! We hope you will come back again next year!
