Welcome to the Tiger family, Mr. Ward! 🐅
We are so excited to welcome Mr. Chris Ward as our new High School Principal! Coming back to his hometown, Mr. Ward brings a wealth of experience, a big heart for students, and a deep dedication to our community.
🎓 Mr. Ward has a B.S. in Elementary Ed (Bowling Green State University), Master's in Guidance Counseling (University of Toledo), and Master's in Administration (Concordia University).
Throughout his career, he taught 6th-grade Math/Science at Fremont City Schools , and was Dean of Students & Athletic Director at Fremont MS. His experience includes 3 years as a Middle School Guidance Counselor at Oak Harbor Middle School and 14 years as an Elementary Principal in Fremont. He also spent 11 years as a High School Football coach alongside coaching youth basketball, soccer, baseball, and football.
❤️ Mr. Ward is married to his wife, Laura, a High School Spanish teacher. They have three sons: Braden (married to Olivia, parents to 1-year-old granddaughter, Wyatt), Landon (a sophomore right here at Liberty Center), and Trenton, who passed away last year after a brave battle with cancer, leaving behind the inspiring legacy of a true champion's heart.

After 8 years of custodial duties, we are happy to congratulate Eric Witte on his retirement. Eric will be missed for his smile and helpful attitude for any and all requests that may have been asked of him throughout his shift. He has enjoyed visiting with staff and students and getting to know them both at school and in the community. In his retirement, he will continue to be a friendly face uptown at Centsible Treasures Again. When he's not working at the shop, he plans to day trip and travel to see family and friends. Congratulations, Eric! Thank you for your service.
