About New Covenant School
Founded in 1985, New Covenant School is a Christian day school in Lexington, MA serving students from Preschool through Grade 5. Rooted in our Daniel Instructional Model, we combine rigorous academics with intentional character and spiritual formation shaped by our Six Words of Servanthood: Courage, Humility, Respect, Integrity, Seeker of God, and Teachability. Our mission is to raise up “Daniels”, children wholly devoted to God, equipped with wisdom and love, and prepared to engage and interpret their culture with faith and courage. We believe the most effective learning happens when students take ownership, pursue excellence, and discover that their work has real value beyond the classroom. Through Kingdom Service Learning (KSL) projects, students create authentic work that serves people or meets a need in the wider community. NCS has a strong commitment to the visual and performing arts, seeing creativity as a reflection of our Creator and an essential part of a child’s formation. Students also flourish through innovation and invention education, where they learn to think like inventors by identifying problems, imagining solutions, and designing with purpose. New Covenant School was the first school in Massachusetts to pilot the professional development of invention education for PreK–Grade 5 students, making this distinctive program a hallmark of our teaching and learning. In small, joyful classrooms led by exceptionally skilled and faith-filled educators, our students are formed to become lifelong learners, problem solvers, and servant leaders who shine brightly in their world.
