Mr. Jim’s kindness, patience, and deep commitment to his students left a lasting mark on the Lexington Singapore School family and community. He taught at our Lexington, Acton, and Newton locations and was valued by students, families, and colleagues alike.

📚 Student Bar Modeling Workshop Reminder! ✏

A quick reminder that our second Student Bar Modeling Workshop is today, Monday, December 1, from 5:30–6:30 PM for Grades 3–6. This session helps students strengthen understanding and build confidence with key problem-solving strategies. Since the first workshop was on a Sunday, this Monday session gives students who couldn’t attend another chance to join.

Lexington Singapore School is excited to join this year’s Trick or Treat in the Lexington Town Center on Friday, October 31, from 2–5 PM!

🧡 Come dressed for the occasion
🖤 Say “Trick or treat!” to receive goodies.
🤍 Look for orange, black, and white balloon bouquets at the doors of participating stores.

It’s a half day for Lexington Public Schools, so we expect the fun to start early!

📊 Parent Workshop: Bar Modeling (Part 2)
We’re excited to invite parents of Kindergarten through Grade 5 students to our next Parent Workshop! 🎉

✨ This session will focus on Bar Modeling, a powerful strategy in Singapore Math that helps children solve word problems with confidence.

Yesterday Sunday Sep 28, 9–10am, we hosted a Bar Modeling Parent Workshop (Kindergarten to Grade 5) in Lexington. We hope the session was helpful and reinforced the importance of problem solving in Singapore Math.

Our next Parent Workshop will be held remotely this Sunday, October 5, 9–10am. The first 45 minutes of the workshop will be recorded and shared with all parents afterward—no need to email to request a copy. The final 15 minutes of Q&A will not be recorded in order to respect privacy. We look forward to seeing many of you online!

In addition, we wrapped up a Professional Development session with our teachers yesterday, followed by a warm luncheon gathering — a wonderful time to learn, connect, and celebrate our shared mission.

Thank you for being part of our growing community and for supporting our efforts to make math learning meaningful for every child.
