This week didn’t quite go as planned, and Busy Bees had to unexpectedly miss two full days of sales.

As a small, family-owned business, those days matter. Every admission, every event ticket, every snack purchased, and every family who walks through our doors directly helps support our family — while also helping us continue building a place where every child belongs.🐝💛

Join us at 1 PM for a special music therapy experience at the Hive! After the activity, kiddos can stay and play until the session ends at 2 PM.🎵🐝

You don't always have to donate money to support a small business. Sometimes support looks like showing up, sharing a post, inviting another mama, or choosing a local business for your child's day out.

After everything our family has walked through, I'm incredibly grateful that we still get to open these doors and keep this dream going.

🐝 Busy Bees Family Update 💛

We wanted to share a quick update with our Busy Bees family.

Our family experienced an unexpected medical emergency with one of our little ones this week. What started as a trip to the ER after his first seizure turned into an overnight hospital stay and additional testing. Thankfully, he is back to his happy, normal self, and we now have a treatment plan and specialists helping us navigate what comes next. 🙏🏽

This year has already asked so much of our family, so right now we're taking the time we need to be together, process everything, and make sure our little guy is okay.

Because of this, Busy Bees Playhouse will remain closed through the weekend and reopen Monday.🐝💛

To everyone who has checked on us, prayed for our family, sent messages, or simply given us grace and understanding—thank you. Running a small family-owned business means that sometimes life behind the hive affects what happens inside of it, and we're incredibly grateful to have a community that understands.

We can't wait to welcome all of our little bees back into the hive on Monday. 🐝🍯

Thank you for loving our family while we continue creating a place where every child belongs. 💛

Due to family medical emergency with our 4 year old, we will be closed tomorrow, Friday-August 28. Unsure how long we will be at hospital. Sorry for any inconvenience and hope to see everyone soon! 🐝

🏆🐝 OUR FOUNDER IS THE YOUNG FEMALE PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR!🐝🏆

Today, we’re celebrating our founder, Ikeiya, for being named Young Female Professional of the Year by the Lexington Chamber!💛

This recognition means even more because we know the story behind the woman who built Busy Bees. Through heartbreak, setbacks, and the unimaginable loss of her son Ezra, she continued to show up and build a place where every child belongs.

This award is a reflection of her resilience, her heart, and her commitment to our children and our community.

We couldn’t be more proud to call her our founder. 🐝💛
