It's been quiet around here as we've had a few weeks off. But school starts back this Wednesday. We are excited to get back to mud puddles, friends, and special ordinary days together.

We have a few toddlers spots left for Fall 2026. Reach out if you're looking for all-weather play and Montessori-inspired full time childcare.

Here's a few of our Music and Movement Campers enjoying Tai Chi! This small group was really engaged with Master Ben Allen's lessons and had a peaceful morning break moving through several poses. Week 3 was our smallest group of the summer and with only 4-6 children per class received plenty of one-on-one coaching and guidance.

Master Ben teaches at the YMCA and is currently running a summer series of FREE Tai Chi at Gatton Park - https://gattonpark.org/event/tai-chi8/

One of the best parts of Music and Movement Camp this summer was connecting with so many talented artists, coaches, and practitioners in our community. Thanks to Master Ben for this inspirational morning!

Another amazing adventure in Music and Movement camp this summer was a visit from our friends at Lexington Vintage Dance! They demonstrated several styles of classical dance for our toddlers and preschool groups with costumes that enchanted us. Then they invited us to join in with some of our favorite dances by Laurie Berkner Band. Thank you to our dancers for keeping us moving!

See how we grow! 2025 ➡️ 2026. Limited enrollments remain for 14mos to 5 years in 2026-2027.

We love getting messy, art outdoors, and exploring. These opportunities get repeated all through the year. It is amazing to see our friends grow through their experiences!

Get in touch soon. We'll save you a seat in the garden!

Our Quaker Friend Maria Franzini shared her Eurythmics games and songs with our Music and Movement campers. Every day of week three our toddlers and preschoolers enjoyed different pieces of music, including Camille Saint-Saens' The Carnival of the Animals featured here, as well as Maria's piano playing. Percussion instruments, scarves, marching, dancing, and joy kept us engaged. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us, Maria!

Last night the LFP Board had our annual meeting. Thank you to all of our board members for your service and devotion!

We were delighted to welcome two new board members, Shalanda LaChelle Smith and Brooke Harover! Both Shalanda and Brooke have made a positive contribution to our community already. It was another GREAT day in the Lexington Friends Preschool neighborhood!

The LFP board have begun work on a board development project led by member Davonna Saier to plan for our future. We are excited for the work ahead of us!
