The Order is heartbroken to learn of the passing of Alex Day (Eta Alpha–Ohio State ‘24), an Alumnus and chartering Number IX of the Eta Alpha Chapter at The Ohio State University.

He was known for his outgoing and kind personality, making those around him feel welcomed. He treated those he met like a brother and brought a sense of joy and energy around his chapter and his peers. He brought that warmth to his KA journey, becoming an integral part of establishing our KA Chapter at Ohio State.

Our thoughts, prayers, and warm thoughts are with Alex’s family and friends. He was and always will be a brother faithful unto death.

“One of the most memorable events from this summer was when we all worked a beauty pageant, which was immediately followed by a wh***ey tasting with our KA alumni. As an intern for the LS Group, I was responsible for organizing the Miss DC 2026 Scholarship Pageant, and all of the KAs helped prepare for Pageant Day. We cleared our work schedules on Friday to set up the pageant, then came back the next day to lead the volunteers, running ticketing and concessions among other things. After our two long days of work, we went straight to the Magnolia Lodge to meet with KA alumni in Washington, DC. We were cutting it close on time, but we all made it, and that night with the DC-area KAs became a highlight of my experience.

I woke up early the next morning to es**rt the newly crowned Miss DC 2026 around the Great American Fair for Military Appreciation Day. The summer was full of events like this for the U.S.’s 250th anniversary, and the celebrations made it a great year to be in DC. On top of discovering our nation’s capital, I gained valuable skills with the LS Group, organizing events with hundreds of attendees. This internship was an incredible part of my college experience, and we are all extremely grateful to the members of the KAOEF who gave us this opportunity.”

“My time in Washington, D.C., was a once in a lifetime experience. This summer, I had the opportunity to work at Wilkinson Barker & Knauer LLP, a telecommunications law firm. During my internship, I wrote policy memorandums, attended congressional committee hearings, and FCC open meetings.

I am thankful for KAOEF’s generosity and commitment to this program. I look forward to taking back my skills and experiences to my chapter.”
